Psychological Testing for Parents/Students

Questions often arise about students' learning processes and challenges, be it Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Executive Functions deficits, difficulties with attention, processing information, Autism, emotional dysregulation, or simply the need for testing accommodations. What is keeping you or your child from achieving more success? Are your child's emotions interfering with their learning? Is there a need for accommodations in order for you to meet your potential?

How we help people just like you:

Psycho-educational assessments explore individuals' abilities in a range of areas that create the learning experience, providing insight that allows for meaningful intervention and accommodation.

Following consultation with our intake clinician, you will be guided through the evaluation process. Assessment batteries are outlined in accordance with each individual's areas of strength and need. Results of the assessment will inform the creation of each individual's unique learning profile, and complementing interventions/accommodations. The results from these assessments can also be communicated with IEP/Section 504 Plan teams, The College Board and college/university support services offices.

Areas of assessment can include:

Narges Izadi has partnered with districts all across the Bay Area to conduct legally defensible and comprehensive assessments. With a thorough grasp of special education law and best practices, Narges has served as an expert in assessments for students with emotional disturbances through numerous mediations and litigations. She regularly conducts evaluations to assess for all categories of disability in accordance with the Educational Code. Further, Narges specializes in the assessment of students unilaterally placed in out-of-state RTC programs and English Language Learners.  She has successfully assessed over 25 students actively placed in out-of-state RTC programs, and has assisted in their step-down transition planning and the district's legal proceedings. All evaluations utilize a variety of evidence-based, standardized and up-to-date tools and approaches (including observations, thorough records review and clinical interviews with all parties involved) to ensure an ecological understanding of each and every student assessed.

Narges works collaboratively and cross functionally with school teams to guide the assessment process from Assessment Plan development through to the IEP meeting and follow-up consultation.
