My name is Narges Izadi and I am a Licensed Educational Psychologist working privately, and a credentialed School Psychologist serving the public school system.

Often, I meet my clients and their families in their most challenging moments. Through evidence-based and mindful exploration, I work with my clients to unravel their perceived challenges, and guide them toward a more healthy, happy and fulfilling sense of self and educational experience. This process can include comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to understand strengths and areas of growth, parent consultation and advocacy, consultation with schools, assessments for educationally related mental health services, and therapy curated to meet the educationally-related emotional needs of clients.

I have worked at all educational levels, and in a variety of settings to support students with unique developmental, emotional and learning needs. My passion is supporting children, adolescents and young adults who, for one reason or another, have struggled to engage with the conventional educational system. I specialize in the assessment of students with processing, emotional and executive functions needs, often placed in residential treatment settings. I work extensively with public and private educational entities on transition planning in preparation for the successful reintegration of students following inpatient/residential treatment. I apply an in-depth knowledge of school- and community-based resources, trauma-informed practices, and therapeutic techniques to support my clients and families navigate difficult times, challenging emotions and lapses in communication, with a strong focus on prevention of placement in restrictive/residential settings.

I also love to work with my clients to help them understand their cognitive processing power, and how they can utilize their cognitive strengths and knowledge of their areas of growth to foster learning strategies and opportunities.

The focus of my psycho-educational evaluations is to facilitate the development of a sense of agency and empowerment in my clients - regardless of their age. Through this process, students, families and educators will come to understand the classroom/lecture hall implications of each students' cognitive profile, and will be provided with tangible recommendations to enhance their educational experience. I believe that every student's learning potential can be unlocked through the power of care.
